When someone tells you, you are too strong,

it means they aren't.

Please donate goods and services to your nearest Domestic Violence Shelter for battered women.    The National Hotline number is 1-800-799-7233.  This is something near and very dear to my heart.

Welp, I still can't seem to find the time to redo the whole thing so I'll just have to post what I can.

The whole idea behind this website was for me to have a vanity site to show off my horses but also to impart my brand of horsemanship and my ideas about horses.  Sounds kind of snooty, eh??  Not really, in my most humble opinion.  I've been reading and reading others works about horses and honestly, sometimes it seems they haven't been around horses that much or they would know such isn't the case.

Please read my Who is Winona page.  Without repeating everything, it will tell my qualifications with horses.  I have practical experience with horses, not just something I learned out of books or heard on the TV.  Nothing is wrong with books and TV (of which I read and watch also) but there are things you just can't learn except by getting out there with horses and getting your hands dirty and basic trial and error.

So almost everything you read on this site will be from my personal experience, along with stories of various horses and situations thru the years.

Yes, I said years.  Horses are something I love with a passion and the years have not dimished that one bit.  Almost everything else can come and go but horses have been the one constant in my life.  They have picked me up (such as winning in the show ring) and squished me like a bug (such as getting bucked off in front of other people).  But something in there always draws me back to equines.  I love dogs also but my true, true love is horses.

I have said for quite a while now, I'm almost embarrassed about how long a while, that I was going to tell my stories and have some training advice.  Please feel free to read the stories but if you do use any of my training advice you do so on your own accord and liability.  I'm only telling what has worked for me and what works for me won't always work for others.  You have to be responsible for yourself, the same as I'm responsible for myself in training situations.  If you have any doubts about anything I'm saying, don't do it or try it.

So, I'm going to work on this site for a little bit and see where that takes me.  I'm having fun!!

Happy Trails
